Amy's Skincare Journey

 I’m a licensed professional makeup artist with over 20 years of experience, and I’ve been in the beauty industry for more than 27 years. 

I’ve trained with high-end cosmetic brands like MAC, Elizabeth Arden, and Clarins, and worked across department stores, salons, spas, and as a freelance artist. For many years, I also ran my own beauty business from home.  

My personal skincare journey has been a challenging one. I have a compromised dermis that’s chronically dry, with visible redness, dehydration, and sensitivity. My skin often appears parched and flaky, with deep lines on my forehead and between my brows, as well as crow’s feet around my eyes. Even the slightest rubbing can trigger redness, and many products cause irritation or burning—so I’m extremely selective with what I use.  

Since mid-September 2024, I’ve been trying some new skincare products that are truly making a difference. My skin looks fresher, feels more hydrated, and I’m gaining confidence in going makeup-free. And when I do wear makeup, it’s smooth, dewy, and doesn’t settle into fine lines—perfect for aging skin!  I’m excited to share what I’m using, and I hope you find something here that works as beautifully for you as it has for me.
